A tourist’s life in Florence

Florence. A bustling, crowded, noisy city on the bench of river Arno. Yet so packed of fine art masterpieces and soaked of pure Italian reinassance spirit.

You can almost breathe it along the narrow alleys or the large squares flanked by statues, palaces, amazing churches. You can feel that this was a city of trade, and that here arts and culture were cultivated to excel.

I had a really short weekend there, coming back after a few years. I had some fun in taking pictures of the contrasts between the treasures of art in display and the crowd of tourists from all over the world that insistently overwhelm the city center all year long.
